Peech drops his debut EP 'Small Town America,' offering six soulful tracks that capture small-town life, big dreams, and raw emotion.
Peech is stepping into the spotlight with his debut EP, Small Town America. With each song, the rising singer-songwriter channels the ache, warmth, and nostalgia of small-town roots and the leap it takes to walk away and chase bigger dreams.
“It’s really about the transformation of leaving behind everything you’ve known, while still holding on to the warmth and the ache of where you came from,” Peech says, his voice steady but reflective. “These songs are the most honest I’ve ever been. They come from real experiences and real emotions.”
Across six tracks, Peech blends his soulful country sound with folk storytelling. He leans into quiet confessions and vivid details, building a narrative that feels both familiar and deeply personal.
“I want the EP to feel like sitting down with someone and just talking through life,” he explains. “The kind of conversation you’d have on a long drive down a backroad – vulnerable, reflective, but also full of hope.”
With Small Town America, Peech introduces himself as more than just a newcomer to watch. He’s a storyteller, carrying the weight of where he came from while carving out where he’s headed next.
We caught up with Peech just before the project’s release (Aug. 22) to talk about the inspiration behind the music, the risks he’s taken to pursue his craft, and what he hopes fans will take away from this first major label release.
Fandom Daily: This is such a big moment for you — your debut EP, Small Town America, is finally here. How are you feeling heading into release day?
Peech: "I’m honestly so excited. This body of work has been in the making for almost a year. Some of these songs began last year, and finally putting them all together into an EP feels like a blessing. Working with TAMLA and Capitol CMG has been incredible, and I just can’t wait for people to hear these songs. They’re so close to my heart, and I hope everyone who listens takes something from them."
Fandom Daily: Does it feel surreal to know this is your first major release with a label behind you?
Peech: "It does. I’ve been making music for such a long time, and one of my biggest goals was to find a team that really believes in the music and the vision. To finally have that is surreal. But in my mind, this is just the beginning. I already have a bunch of new projects in the works. I just want to keep the momentum going."
Fandom Daily: You’ve called this Small Town America, Volume One. So can fans expect a Volume Two soon?
Peech: "Oh yeah. That’s the plan. I’m really pushing to get Volume Two out just a few months after this one – definitely by the end of 2025, or at the latest, early 2026. Eventually, I’d love for it all to build into a full-length Small Town America album."
Fandom Daily: The title itself feels nostalgic and relatable. What inspired Small Town America?
Peech: "I grew up in Park City, Utah – a small mountain town where everybody knows everybody. There’s a beauty to that sense of community, but it can also feel like a bubble. For me, the project reflects both sides of that experience: learning to let go of heartache and limitations while still holding on to the warmth of home. It’s about leaving to chase something bigger, and then realizing how much your small-town roots shape you no matter where you go."
Fandom Daily: You live in Los Angeles now, but you spend time in Utah and Nashville too. What was it like leaving your hometown to chase your dream?
Peech: "Honestly, it was scary but necessary. I had just gone through a breakup – the only thing keeping me in Park City – so I took the leap. I scraped together all the money I could, bought a car, and drove to LA. That risk could have gone badly, but thankfully it didn’t. It changed everything for me. That spirit of going for it, even when it’s terrifying, is at the heart of this EP."
Fandom Daily: When you look at the tracklist, is there a song that best captures where you are right now?
Peech: "'Don’t Miss Your Moment' probably sums it up best. It’s about taking every opportunity and not being afraid to take risks. That’s exactly where I’m at – chasing this dream nonstop, even if it means leaving things behind."
Fandom Daily: The lead single "Tomorrow’s" feels especially powerful. What inspired it?
Peech: "I co-wrote it with my producer, Adam Banx, in LA. We wanted to capture the idea of breaking cycles – whether that’s addiction, heartbreak, or just destructive habits. It’s about the moments where you feel stuck but still hold onto hope. That mix of pain, redemption, and possibility really defines the whole EP."
Fandom Daily: Fans often compare your storytelling to Jelly Roll’s — how does that feel?
Peech: "Honestly, that’s an honor. Jelly Roll’s story and his music inspire so many people, including me. He’s poured out his pain in a way that helps others, and that’s what I want to do too. If people see that connection, that means the world. And yeah, he’s definitely on my list of dream collaborations."
Fandom Daily: Speaking of collaborations — who else is on your bucket list?
Peech: "Post Malone would be amazing. I’ve been a fan for a long time. The Lumineers and Bon Iver are huge inspirations too – not country per se, but their emotional writing really resonates with me. I’d also love to work with The Red Clay Strays, Zach Bryan, and Ella Langley. There are so many.
Fandom Daily: For new listeners discovering you with this EP, how would you describe your sound?
Peech: "I'd say raw and honest. I don’t hold back. Whether it’s pain, hope, heartbreak, or redemption, I put it all out there. If you’re going through something, I hope you’ll feel seen in the music."
Fandom Daily: Which track feels most like “you” as an artist?
Peech: "'Going West' is a big one for me. It’s about leaving my small town, going through heartbreak, and realizing all those moments were necessary to become who I am. It’s the story of where I’ve been and where I’m heading."
Fandom Daily: You’ve already built a passionate fanbase, even before this release. How does that feel?
Peech: "It’s incredible. When I first started, I was just writing songs for myself. But over time, as more people connected, I realized it was bigger than me. It’s about offering people something they need, maybe even something they didn’t know they needed."
Fandom Daily: You just played the EP live for fans. How did they react?
Peech: "It was amazing. At the last show, I saw people crying to some of the songs, which is usually a good sign. Playing the whole EP with a full band for the first time felt so right. Now I’m just ready to take it everywhere."
Fandom Daily: What impact do you hope to make with this project?
Peech: "I hope people walk away with hope. Life is full of pain, but there’s beauty in it too and music helps us find that beauty. If my songs can give someone faith or help them feel less alone, then I’ve done what I set out to do."
Fandom Daily: Since we’re Fandom Daily, we have to ask – what’s one thing fans might be surprised to learn about Small Town America?
Peech: "Maybe just how raw it really is. I think fans will be surprised at how much they relate to it – even if their story looks different than mine. There’s something in it for everyone, and I’m excited to see what people take away."
